Using Public Data: The ScrAPD case

Abstract

With the open governement and open data movement, cities tend to offer more and more information to the public. But is it enough? What are the problems with these data sets? Using the ScrAPD project as an example, we are going to illustrate the workflow and complications of retrieving traffic fatality data from the city of Austin.
